The annual comedy and music benefit “Stand-Up for Heroes” gets an upgrade as part of the tenth annual New York Comedy Festival, moving from the Beacon Theater to the larger Theater at Madison Square Garden.

Prompted by growing aud interest in the six-year-old charity event — which last year included performances by Bruce Springsteen, Jon Stewart, Ricky Gervais and Robin Williams, among others — organizers have shifted from the Beacon, which seats less than 3,000, to the Theater at MSG, which can accommodate up to 5,600. Co-presented by the festival and the Bob Woodruff Foundation, “Stand-Up” benefits injured veterans, service members and their families.

Show joins the “Comics to Watch” showcase of rising comics as well as the annual competish “New York’s Funniest Stand-Up” on the 2013 lineup of the festival, produced by Carolines on Broadway and Comedy Central. The tenth annual fest has locked in dates, Nov. 6-10, but further specifics won’t go out until next month.
