2022 Annual Report Highlights National Impact

In 2022, with support from so many people in so many communities, we provided services to our military and veteran community in physical and mental health, employment and education, housing stability, and food insecurity. All told, we invested over $8 million in 147 organizations and support services for over 52,000 of our nation’s veterans, service members, their families, and caregivers.

In our 2022 Annual Report, you’ll find highlights of our work to ensure those who stood for us have stable and successful futures.

We welcomed new supporters – MacKenzie Scott and Hanx for Our Troops, for example – while we continued long-standing partnerships with others, including Craig Newmark Philanthropies, the NFL, the New York Comedy Festival, and Bread Financial. We are so grateful for all who were by our side this year.

As we reflect on 2022, we are proud of our work to raise awareness about the tough challenges veterans and military families face and to invest in solutions to help support them in the next chapter of their lives. For example, recognizing that mental health in this country is in crisis and that military children face unique stressors, we committed to investing $1 million in military children’s mental health.

Still, we have much more to do.
