Emory’s Brain Health Center provides renowned and comprehensive care and treatment for post-9/11 veterans with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), traumatic brain injury (TBI), and other service-related brain conditions. Emory programs integrate behavioral health care, psychiatry, neurology, rehabilitative medicine, wellness, nutrition, mindfulness training, and family support to help heal the invisible wounds of war without cost to veterans. With this grant from the Bob Woodruff Foundation Emory will implement a pilot program to reduce the shortage of community clinicians trained to supervise other community mental health providers implementing Prolonged Exposure Therapy (PE), and will assess the hurdles that mental health care provides experience when providing or seeking consultation for supervision to ensure evidence-based treatment for combat-related PTSD.
