Information Technology “IT” Workforce Development Training and Job Placement for Military Veterans

NPower’s IT Workforce Development program trains veterans and spouses with the skills necessary for required certifications and careers as IT professionals. Training locations are staffed with instructors who are connected to the military community and social workers to assist with psychosocial needs of students. At each location, NPower builds partnerships with veterans organizations and business in the local community to ensure that veterans experience opportunities to address their needs during their time in the program and to locate employment post program. NPower has a strong partnership with the Department of Labor, and is the first ever IT Apprenticeship program to receive DoL accreditation. The Bob Woodruff Foundation grant will provide the IT Workforce Development training to 240 veterans and spouses across three locations.
