On 10/18 Congressman Goldman will host a Virtual Service Academy Night from 6:30 PM – 8:30 PM EST. For more information contact Kristen Rouse at [email protected] or click the link below.
High school students and their families are invited to this virtual session with Congressman Goldman and representatives from Military Service Academies to learn more and ask questions about applying for a Congressional nomination and gaining appointment to a Service Academy. Congressman Goldman is currently welcoming applications from high school seniors in NY-10 seeking a Congressional nomination for the US Air Force Academy, the US Merchant Marine Academy, the US Military Academy, and the US Naval Academy. (The US Coast Guard Academy does not require congressional nominations.) More information on applying is here: https://goldman.house.gov/services/military-academy-nominations
Students who are appointed to a Service Academy receive a free undergraduate degree from one of the most prestigious colleges in the nation. Service academies are tuition-free and include full room and board. After graduation, students receive a commission as a military officer and commit to at least five years of service.
