Interested in the craft of cinema & filmmaking? Join us for our debut of Guardians of the Silver Screen — focused on Forrest Gump, directed by Robert Zemeckis, which won the 1994 Oscar for Best Picture.
This is an opportunity for guardians to unite, critique, and celebrate the magic of cinema with First Assistant Editor Kenny Duclos. Guardians of the Silver Screen is a new monthly series, which will feature a different genre every month.
During our October conversation about Forrest Gump, we will discuss the significance of different symbols in the film, our favorite sequences, some of the social & economic issues that the film addresses, life lessons, and our emotional experience watching it.
WHO: Guardians only
We welcome all guardians (active & retired): Veterans, Active Military, Reserve, National Guard, Law Enforcement, Fire & Rescue, EMS, Dispatchers, Corrections, and Federal Agents
