If you’re looking for an opportunity to make a difference in your local community, you won’t want to miss our upcoming webinar with McClatchy! This year, MVJ has partnered with McClatchy to place veterans within their local newsrooms. Now, the McClatchy team is coming to you with an information session on the currently-open McClatchy Veterans in Journalism Fellowships and other McClatchy career opportunities.
McClatchy is a digitally driven company focused on innovation, with newsrooms in 30 communities in the United States. Their journalism focuses on our local communities, and in that role McClatchy journalists have the ability to spotlight problems, highlight solutions and truly make a difference — all the reasons you got into journalism.
The McClatchy Veterans in Journalism Fellowship program entails a six-month, full-time, paid and in-person fellowship, followed by a full year of employment upon fellowship completion. With two slots still open in the McClatchy Veterans in Journalism Fellowship program, the McClatchy team will join us to talk about program expectations, benefits, and the importance of including veteran voices in their community coverage.
