On 11/11 & 11/12 the Bronx Vet Center will host Veterans Day Parade Marching Opportunities in NYC. For more information contact Ms. Anet Bonilla (Bronx Vet Center), [email protected] or (718) 367-3500.
For those that may be interested in attending either the NYC Veterans Day Parade or the Bronx Veterans Day Parade with the Bronx Vet Center, please see the below details. Feel free to share these with other Veterans who may be interested in joining:
NYC Veterans Day Parade- Saturday NOV 11th
Group Name: Department of Veteran Affairs. ASSEMBLY/FORMATION INFORMATION: Assembly location: 5th Ave btw 23rd & 24th Streets in Manhattan. Enter Parade area via: 23rd Street @ 5th Ave. Arrival Time - Marchers (including float riders): 9:45 - 10:00am. We may be waiting for some time prior to stepping off so please come prepared for the weather. Veterans are also welcome to bring their respective caregivers and/or family members who can also march with us in the Parade. RSVP with Ms. Anet Bonilla (Bronx Vet Center) [email protected] at (718) 367-3500.
Transportation Note: This year for the NYC Veterans Day Parade on NOV 11th there will also be bus transportation available from the parking lot of the James J. Peters Bronx VA Medical Center to the parade assembly point in Manhattan. Link up is at 6:30AM at 130 West Kingsbridge Road in the parking lot of the Bronx VAMC. The bus will drop off Veterans at the parade assembly area, be available for Veterans to ride in during the marching route for those who are not able to walk, and then return to the Bronx VAMC parking lot at the conclusion of the parade. Veterans who may be interested in taking the bus must RSVP so we know how many to expect. Seats are limited and by first come first serve RSVP only. Assembly will start at intersection of East Tremont & Lafayette Avenues in the Bronx at 1100 with the Department of Veteran Affairs group. Step off at noon. Marching Route will end at Veterans Memorial Park in Throggs Neck where a ceremony will be held. RSVP with Ms. Anet Bonilla (Bronx Vet Center) [email protected] at (718) 367-3500. Veterans are also welcome to bring their respective caregivers and/or family members who can also march with us in the Parade.
