In honor of Veterans Day 2023, Warrior Writers is excited to welcome back our community to the wonderful city of Philadelphia! We are hosting a wellness and creativity gathering in Philadelphia over the weekend of November 11th and 12th, and invite veterans from across the country to participate in activities such as writing, meditation, yoga, and more, as well as special opportunities to attend cultural events and institutions across the city of Philadelphia. The weekend will also include a powerful public performance featuring veteran poets sharing their voices and stories. Please register on this form if you would like to attend this retreat! We will be in contact with further information and the activities schedule in the coming weeks.

We are providing accommodations for our out of town guests from Friday, November 10th-Monday, November 13th at the beautiful Chamounix Mansion (West Fairmount Park, 3250 Chamounix Drive, Philadelphia, PA 19131)! These are communal rooms with single beds, so you will be sharing a room with at least one other person. Please note on this form if you have any roommate requests. There is plenty of free parking on the grounds if you will be driving.

Please register by November 8th if you would like to stay at the accommodations.

Many of our workshops and sessions will also take place at the Chamounix Mansion in the living rooms and common areas, so even if you are not staying there, please note the address to join us! We can assist with local travel to and from the mansion if needed.

We will provide all meals for those staying at the Chamounix, and any meals for all participants who are present during activities that overlap with mealtimes.

We do have limited travel funds available for Warrior Writers community members; please note on the registration form if you would like to request travel assistance, and we will reach out with more information.
