The New York Metro Chapter - Montford Point Marine Association will be celebrating the resumption of its Anniversary Gala and partnership as a Veterans Service Organization and community presence. We are hosting our capstone event Sunday, November 12th, 2023, at Antun's in Jamaica, New York. The past several years have seen monumental posterity & hardships cast upon the Montford Pointers (circa 1942-1949) with the awarding of the Congressional Gold Medal (June 2012), and the Christening of USNS Montford Point T-ESD-1 (March 2013) the 1st in its class. It was also meet with tragedy on the lost, of so many local heroes due to age; COVID-19; and family relocations. Our resolve however remains strong, as we look to affirm the amazing contributions by African Americans who have served this country, their community and yes, the United States Marine Corps.
Guest will enjoy Antun's stellar cuisine, cocktails, dancing, and awards ceremony honoring service to the Community and Veterans.
