Today’s military is highly educated, diverse and mission driven. Military personnel possess cross-functional skills that empower them to adapt and thrive under challenging circumstances. With nearly a quarter million service members returning to the civilian workforce each year, there is a unique opportunity to harness their specialized skills and experience as the job market changes and technology provides new opportunities.
From cybersecurity expertise to leveraging sharing economy platforms, veterans are poised to play a major role in the future of the tech economy. Veterans should be prepared to find and seize these opportunities and the tech industry should be ready to be a partner in that effort.
The goal of the panel will be to bring together a diverse set of voices from the tech community and the veteran community to discuss the challenges of access, identify growth pathways, and forecast what the future of work means for today’s veterans as they begin the next chapter in their lives.
