As of November 1, 2020, National Veterans Intermediary (NVI) is called the Local Partner Network. Older content may reference our original name.

NVI Local Partners, did you receive our email offer on Tuesday 3/13/2018?

We sure hope so, because it contained an excellent deal. NVI will cover one registration fee per community for the first 10 NVI Local Partners to sign up for the 2-1-1 San Diego Community Information Exchange Summit! That’s a $495 value, but the training and networking are invaluable. Here’s what’s unique about the 2-1-1 San Diego Community Information Exchange Summit.

A Robust and Mature Collaborative

San Diego boasts one of the nation’s most mature collaborative systems, successfully integrating the work of several issue-based collaboratives while maintaining an emphasis on growth, learning, and continuous improvement. This year’s Summit offers a thoughtful agenda including a Collective Impact track and a track emphasizing cross-sector data sharing.

Summit Details

The conference hosted in collaboration with the County of San Diego and San Diego Health Connect, on April 16 and 17 at the Marriott Marquis in San Diego.

This two-day, national educational summit is bringing together organizations and national leaders from the 2-1-1, social, health, data, philanthropic, education, technology and government sectors. Together, we’ll focus on bridging health and social service sectors to build thriving communities through coordinated care. Here’s some of what the Summit offers:

  • Expert keynote speakers from across the sectors with 15 workshops on the issues that matter to your community
  • Diverse panels will drive powerful discussions highlighting practice, policy, research and funding mechanisms
  • Actionable ideas to develop and sustain person-centered models that address the social determinants of health
  • Collaboration to improve outcomes for populations experiencing disparities, including our Veteran and Military community

So Why Should I Go?

Learn from Collective Impact Thought Leaders. Observing how seasoned collaborators think, work, and learn together is part of the experience. The keynote speakers, panelists, and other participating communities come from a variety of issue areas. You’ll be exposed to new ways of solving problems–problems you will surely recognize from your community. You’ll head home with a clearer vision and improved capacity to jump start work in your community.

Network with Seasoned Collaborators. The NVI team and your fellow Local Partners are looking forward to connecting with you. The internet is an incredible tool for collaboration and networking, but for building trust and fostering connection, you can’t beat meeting face to face! These aren’t just business cards to throw in your drawer and forget. These are diverse, seasoned collaborators whose insight and wisdom can help you shape the future of your community.

Overcome Data Sharing Challenges with Creative Thinking. Good data is essential for good decision-making. But collecting, analyzing, and sharing data efficiently, ethically, and in accordance with law can be a sticking point in collaboration between partners (and even more so between public and private sectors). The Community Information Exchange is wrestling that bear for you. Learn their strategies and best practices in the “Bridging Data Across Sectors” track.

We look forward to seeing you in San Diego in April!
