Resources You Can Use to Strengthen Your Collaborative

This summer, the VA Veterans Experience Office is hosting a series of networking events for Community Veterans Engagement Boards (CVEBs). The purpose of these networking sessions is to “promote networking among Community Veterans Engagement Boards, share best practices and lessons learned, create a network of support, and connect resources across local communities.” The events are all-inclusive, and invitees include CVEBs, VA leaders, elected officials, veteran and military service organizations, and interested stakeholders.

NVI has been thrilled to participate in these networking opportunities for the past three sessions. Deirdre Armstrong, Associate Director of Community Partnerships, presented a virtual briefing on “Resources You Can Use to Strengthen Your Collaborative” focusing on those resources beyond cash funding that may be overlooked.

The most recent session was hosted from Fort Lauderdale, FL with approximately 80 groups or individual callers representing CVEBs and VA partners. This was the third of five VA virtual networking opportunities occurring throughout the summer.
