Resources You Can Use to Strengthen Your Collaborative
As of November 1, 2020, National Veterans Intermediary (NVI) is called the Local Partner Network. Older content may reference our original name.
This summer, the VA Veterans Experience Office is hosting a series of networking events for Community Veterans Engagement Boards (CVEBs). The purpose of these networking sessions is to “promote networking among Community Veterans Engagement Boards, share best practices and lessons learned, create a network of support, and connect resources across local communities.” The events are all-inclusive, and invitees include CVEBs, VA leaders, elected officials, veteran and military service organizations, and interested stakeholders.
NVI has been thrilled to participate in these networking opportunities for the past three sessions. Deirdre Armstrong, Associate Director of Community Partnerships, presented a virtual briefing on “Resources You Can Use to Strengthen Your Collaborative” focusing on those resources beyond cash funding that may be overlooked.
The most recent session was hosted from Fort Lauderdale, FL with approximately 80 groups or individual callers representing CVEBs and VA partners. This was the third of five VA virtual networking opportunities occurring throughout the summer.
We’re providing the “Resources You Can Use to Strengthen Your Collaborative” slides for your use. Visit the links included in the presentation to explore resources that may help your collaborative.
Want to attend one of the two remaining CVEB Networking Events? They’re scheduled for September 7th (hosted from San Diego, CA) and September 12th (hosted from San Antonio, TX). Keep an eye on the Veterans Experience Office “Community Outreach Events and Resources” page for more details as they become available. We hope to see you there!
