Local Partnerships Coordinator

Job purpose

The Local Partnerships Coordinator will support the growth, management, and delivery of services to the BWF’s Got Your 6 Network of community-based efforts serve the military and veteran community. The coordinator must understand and commit to BWF’s mission and core values, and possess a willingness to remain current on issues facing our nation’s service members, veterans, and their families. As the Local Partnerships Coordinator, you will:

Administer, maintain, and track local partner network, and contribute to network growth (65%)

  • Establish, build, and maintain relationships with local partners through regular touchpoints
  • Identify, research, recommend, and initiate partnerships with communities new to BWF’s Got Your 6 Network
  • Evaluate partnerships and implement funding and other resources to local partners
  • Contribute to the design, conduct, and analysis of biennial survey
  • Collect, organize, analyze, and maintain insights from local partners
  • Facilitate webinars to support partner growth
  • Identify possible focal areas for funding, programming, and other support
  • Compile and manage local partner data using tools to include Salesforce, Dropbox, website, and Eventbrite
  • Write short subject papers for internal BWF use and external publication
  • Conduct administrative support for network to include tracking payments, documents, and filing and maintaining accurate contact information

Collaborate and coordinate closely with BWF colleagues (10%)

  • Write and share local partner stories and insights as appropriate
  • Strategize with teammates for success of the entire Foundation

Contribute to BWF development efforts (20%)

Execute special projects as defined by BWF leadership (5%)

Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 2-3 years of experience

Communication and collaboration skills

  • Professional demeanor
  • Value teamwork and collaborative approach
  • Excellent writing skills
  • Proven ability to work independently in a virtual work environment
  • Personable and customer service-focused; ability to build relationships with diverse populations

Administrative skills

  • Project management and time management skills; able to take initiative of needed tasks, know when to ask for support, and follow-through to completion
  • Highly organized with consistent focus on quality
  • Proactive approach to deadlines

Technical skills

  • Proficiency with MS Office suite, online file management (e.g., Dropbox), video conferencing software (e.g., Zoom), Outlook, and Slack

Knowledge, expertise, and cultural competence

  • Experience in and/or knowledge of any or all of the following is preferred:
    • Military/veteran cultural competency
    • Experience with nonprofits/community development
