Delta Dental’s Veterans Affairs Dental Insurance Program (VADIP)
This is Doug Schobel with Delta Dental’s Veterans Affairs Dental Insurance Program (VADIP). I hope 2024 is off to a great start for you!
If you aren’t familiar with VADIP, it is the government-authorized dental plan available to Veterans enrolled in VA Healthcare, as well as family members who are enrolled in CHAMPVA.
Delta Dental offers 3 Plan options and all 3 cover things like fillings, exams, x-rays and cleanings on the first day your coverage becomes effective. There is a 9-month waiting period for root canals, gum surgery, extractions; after the waiting period, the Comprehensive and Prime Plans cover crowns, partials, bridges and the repair or replacement of existing dentures/partials, and implants that are associated with a tooth that currently exists and needs to first get extracted.
