Local Partner in the News: Alaska Forget Me Not Coalition
“Alaska has the highest veteran population per capita in the country, with five active duty military installations and dozens of Alaska National Guard armories throughout the state. How can we work together to provide more than just a thank-you?”
MAGEN JAMES, “THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICE,” ANCHORAGE DAILY NEWS
As of November 1, 2020, National Veterans Intermediary (NVI) is called the Local Partner Network. Older content may reference our original name.
We are so excited to see our Local Partner making waves (and headlines) with collective impact. The Alaska Forget Me Not Coalition is a state-wide collaborative effort with mission to “educate, inform, and help connect [Service Members, Veterans, and their Families] with services within Alaskan communities to ensure healthy futures.”
Magen James, executive director of the Alaska Forget Me Not Coalition, shares the mission of the collaborative, and some thoughts on what it means to serve those who have served our country.
Visit the Anchorage Daily News website to read Magen’s article. Keep up the great work, Alaska!
