“Made in NY” Production Assistant Training Program’s Jan 2024 Training

The “Made in NY” Production Assistant Training Program is currently recruiting for our January 2024 training cycle. This FREE program prepares low-income, unemployed, and underemployed New York City residents to work entry-level jobs on major film and TV productions. Graduates receive job placement support for two years following the training. See below for eligibility requirements:

  • must be a NYC resident
  • must be age 18 and up
  • must be unemployed, underemployed, or face barriers to employment
  • must have received the COVID-19 vaccine
  • must have a valid driver’s license
  • able to make a 2-year commitment to working full-time in the TV and film production industry after graduating from the “Made in NY” PA Training Program

No media experience is necessary to join this program. Feel free to forward this information to those you know who may face barriers to employment, including:

  • those without a college degree
  • formerly incarcerated 
  • veterans
  • refugees
  • new immigrants
  • NYCHA residents

Neicy McFadden graduated from the “Made in NY” Production Assistant Training Program, worked as a PA, and then moved up to the camera department.
