Strong Families Strong Forces Support and Prevention Program

This funding will increase Strong Families Strong Forces’ capacity to meet the mental health needs of military and families by enabling them to provide services both on- and off-post and by expanding their ability to serve diverse family structures. Overall, this funding will provide evidence-based treatment to 44 military and veteran families to reduce symptoms of PTSD and improve their social, relationship, and family functioning.

The Strong Families Strong Forces Support and Prevention Program provides evidence-based PTSD treatment to military parents with PTSD, with a focus on improving whole family functioning. Since 2018, Strong Families has provided services to active-duty service members, veterans, and their families on Fort Cavazos (formerly Fort Hood).
