ASAP Community Arts Partnership

Through this NFL-BWF Healthy Lifestyles and Creating Community (HLCC) award, the Armed Services Arts Partnership will

• provide evidence-based community arts programming to 800 veterans, service members, family members, and caregivers to increase social support and access to the arts, and
• improve the well-being of 320 participants who participate in multi-week classes.

Armed Services Arts Partnership (ASAP) fosters communities where veterans, service members, military family members, and caregivers thrive through the arts. ASAP’s research indicates veterans and military families who participate in their programs experience increased social connectedness, resilience, confidence, and decreased depression and stress, and that prolonged engagement with the programming helps sustain these outcomes.

Through the arts, ASAP graduates gain new tools for self-understanding and self-expression, and are able to translate these skills to other areas of their lives, including family, social, and professional relationships.
