VOWS Symposium

(11/04) - (11/05)
Are you a transitioning service member, veteran, or military spouse seeking a new career opportunity? Join us on November 4 & 5 for the 2021 Veterans On Wall Street (VOWS) Symposium!

This year's VOWS Symposium (fully virtual + free) will offer two days of incredible content and networking opportunities focused on supporting and connecting our transitioning service members, veterans, military spouses, and corporate partners.

For the past ten years, the VOWS Symposium has been the premier destination for veteran/military-connected job seekers to gather with veterans already employed in a wide range of industries, senior corporate leaders, hiring managers and other key influencers from government and the financial services industry. Past speakers have included high-ranking military officials, successful veteran leaders from across industries, and senior executives from Wall Street's top firms. The Symposium is designed to convene leading thinkers and stakeholders to discuss the transition into the civilian workforce with a targeted focus on career readiness.

This year's event will feature a full day of content and break-out sessions tailored for each audience, and a second day exclusively for companies to speak directly with interested candidates.

Major Gifts: Asking in Person (w/ Andy Robinson)

4:00pm - 5:00pm
Join the Bob Woodruff Foundation and leading fundraising expert Andy Robinson for the final installment in our four-part webinar series.
About this event
Did you know that about 80% of all philanthropy in America comes from individuals, families, and other local community resources? Why, then, do many of us focus on chasing big-foundation grant dollars, when our fundraising solutions might be right in our own backyards?

We’re thrilled to invite our local partners to join a four-part webinar series tailored just for you by Andy Robinson, one of the nation’s foremost experts in fundraising.

The series is focused on practical and successful strategies for community-based fundraising. Here's what we'll cover in this session:

Getting over the fear of fundraising
Creating your gift chart
Who gives? Identifying potential donors
Building relationships: cultivation, appreciation, and everything in between
