Dave and Buster’s Teams up With BWF for More Than Just Fun and Games
Dave and Buster’s provides families with fun, food, and beverages across the United States. Known for their unbelievable midway, they provide games that range from arcade classics to fully immersive virtual reality (VR) experiences.
But Dave and Buster’s has a particular focus on creating memorable times for veterans. They offer a 15 percent discount on food and non-alcoholic beverages for all active service members and veterans. The discount is valid all day, every day. In appreciation of the military and veteran community, Dave & Buster’s is partnering with the Bob Woodruff Foundation (BWF). They will be donating one dollar from every VR experience to BWF during the week of Veterans Day (starting November 8). Generous donations from partners like this help us continue our mission to help our impacted veterans, service members, and their families thrive.
“All of us at the Bob Woodruff Foundation are so proud to partner with Dave and Buster’s,” Dave Woodruff, Co-founder, and Chief Development Officer at BWF said. “They embody the ‘Got Your 6’ commitment to veterans and their families, from a discount program available 365 days a year to an ongoing commitment to hire more veteran teammates around the country. We are excited to team up with them during the week of Veterans Day to help drive even more support for veterans and military families.”
“With some really tough times over the past 18 months, everyone is eager to get out and have fun with friends and family – especially our veterans.”
Being stuck at home during the COVID-19 pandemic eliminated so many opportunities for fun. But getting out in the world and having a good time is a natural and Dave and Buster’s is hoping to make up for some lost time.
“With some really tough times over the past 18 months, everyone is eager to get out and have fun with friends and family – especially our veterans,” Pete Thornfield, Vice President of Brand Marketing at Dave & Buster’s said.
Dave and Buster’s has veterans working directly for the company throughout various levels of their organization. They realize that veterans offer so much to the workplace including their familiarity with cutting-edge technology.
Dave and Buster’s VR experiences offer immersive 3D adventures. During the week of November 8, you can embark on adventures to exciting new worlds through their VR technology while also helping make sure you help veterans once you touch down in the real world.
